When I wake up every day

When I wake up every day
I want to wake up, determined to stay in the Spirit always
And be determined to battle against the flesh man by the Spirit which empowers us.

The test

The test of surrendering of our will and our thoughts
The test of not worrying so much and committing everything to God
The test of laying down our life and death of self
The test of living by faith and not by sight
The test of allowing God to reign as the king in our lives and we not the King
The test of just trusting God in everything

It's so that we could come up higher
It's so that we could experience a deeper walk with God

Does not come easy
But it's worth the fight

Let me be...

While I was jogging...song came into my mind

Let me be a little kinder
Let me be a little....

NO NO NO!!! Not just a little..

Let me be ALOT MORE kinder
Let me be ALOT MORE patient
Let me be ALOT MORE forgiving

Many things to learn...everyday.

Many things!!

Wow...within the past 2 weeks, really alot of things happening.
Shall see whether I'm in the mood to do a detailed post about all these or not.

But as of now, the only thing I wanna say is that I want God to be leading me in this issue.

I love you endlessly.

John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

That's loving God in action

Wasn't planning to do blogging during report writing. During the listening of worship songs on youtube, got to chance on this song and with this verse popping in my head, decided to just drop by here.

The past week~~

Well, 1 week has past. The 1st week without having the need to go back to office to do my work (with the exception of going back on friday to collect my pay)

Everything hasn't gotten any much better for me still

I have thrown my body into over drive the last week, and most likely will be doing that in the upcoming week also
And with other happenings, got physically, mentally and emotionally tired

It's like going through the wilderness
But then, even if it's the case

MUST NOT murmur, complain and worry!!!
God will open up rivers in the wilderness.
Even if I meet a Jericho city in the wilderness
God will bring me through.

All in your hands

Lord, everything is in your hands
And you are in control

I don't want to make so many plans for myself
I want you to lead me according to your will

Even when there are so many uncertainties ahead of me
All is in your hands

Fear the Lord

Provrbs 8:13
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

O Lord, teach everyone of us to fear You, to depart from all evil and to hate all the ways of the flesh.

That we may live a life that is pleasing towards you.

Jesus, friend of sinners, we have strayed so far away
We cut down people in your name but the sword was never ours to swing
Jesus, friend of sinners, the truth's become so hard to see
The world is on their way to You but they're tripping over me
Always looking around but never looking up I'm so double minded
A plank eyed saint with dirty hands and a heart divided

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to the world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks yours

Yeah...

Jesus, friend of sinners, the one who's writing in the sand
Make the righteous turn away and the stones fall from their hands
Help us to remember we are all the least of thieves
Let the memory of Your mercy bring Your people to their knees
No one knows what we're for only against when we judge the wounded
What if we put down our signs crossed over the lines and loved like You did

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks yours

You love every lost cause; you reach for the outcast
For the leper and the lame; they're the reason that You came
Lord I was that lost cause and I was the outcast
But you died for sinners just like me, a grateful leper at Your feet

'Cause You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever
You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever
You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever
You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks Yours

And I was the lost cause and I was the outcast
Yeah...
You died for sinners just like me, a grateful leper at Your feet

Wait for the Lord, Bless the Lord and sing of His mercies

I find myself struggling to stand firm.
I find myself pressed under the weight of all the trials and testings

But despite all, God has told me. Wait upon the Lord.

Wait for the Lord, all ye who are righteous

Despise not the wicked, for they have their reward

But you shall ride, on the heights of all the earth

And taste of things not seen nor heard

You share declare, the greatness of the Lord

Wait oh wait for your reward

Indeed, we all gotta wait for the Lord, whose day is near

It is only in the waiting upon the Lord, that we are able to learn how to praise God despite all circumstances no matter how painful they are, and to be able to sing blessings to the Lord

Bless the Lord, my soul, and bless God's holy name.
Bless the Lord, my soul, who leads me into life. (Ps 104,1)

The Lord controls everything in our lives.
Trust in Him, no matter what.
Take heart, and take firm foundation in Christ
And every day, we will be able to sing of His mercies

Here I am a sinner broken and in need of You

Take my life and wash my fears away

For You are the 'Great I am', rest assured, I feel Your hand

Holding me until the darkness clears

A Father to the fatherless, redeemer of my soul

My Life is Yours forever, my heart will always know

Your mercy saved me, mercy made me whole

Your mercy found me, called me as Your own

Here I stand a child of Yours broken and in need of You

Break these chains and wash my guilt away

Healer of my brokenness, my weary soul will find its rest

You are my strength, the lifter of my head

You're greater than my yesterdays, You hold me close today

You're the Lord of my tomorrows, my heart will always say

You're greater than my yesterdays, You hold me close today

You're the Lord of my tomorrows, my heart will always say

Your mercy saved me, mercy made me whole

Your mercy found me, called me as Your own

Your mercy saved me, mercy made me whole, me whole

Your mercy found me, called me as Your own

You called me as Your own

You called me as Your own

Thank You for Your mercy

Thank You for Your mercy

Your mercy saved me, mercy made me whole

Your mercy found me, called me as Your own

Your mercy saved me, mercy made me whole

Your mercy found me, called me as Your own

You called me as Your own, Your own

thanks to a friend who showed me this song :)

Spirit wind

Oh Lord, send Your wind into this valley
And breathe the breath of life into our souls
And raise us again a mighty army
For soon these arisen warriors will battle again
For we have been filled with the Spirit Wind

Holy Spirit, breathe on me
Breathe Your life in me

Poured out wine

If we are ever going to be made into wine, we will have to be crushed—you cannot drink grapes. Grapes become wine only when they have been squeezed.

One thing I know

One thing I know that I have found
Through all the troubles that surround
You are the Rock that never fails, You never fail

One thing I know that I believe
Through every blessing I receive
You are the only One that stays, You always stay

Chorus
You never change, You're still the same
You are the Everlasting God
You will remain after the day is gone and the things of earth have passed
Everlasting God

Proclaim and declare

Despite all difficulties in life
Despite all the hardship
Despite all the pains in life

Proclaim and declare that God is above all these
When you do so, you are exalting God above all your problems

And watch God fight the battle for you
And watch God deliver you from all your troubles

Find rest in Him alone, and know his power, in quietness and trust

It is well with my soul

That I may learn that no matter what I go through, God is in control, and that I may learn to say that: "It is well with my soul"

This hymn was written after several traumatic events in Spafford's life. The first was the death of his only son in 1871, shortly followed by the great Chicago Fire which ruined him financially (he had been a successful lawyer).

Then in 1873, he had planned to travel to Europe with his family on the S.S. Ville Du Havre, but sent the family ahead while he was delayed on business. While crossing the Atlantic, the ship sank rapidly after a collision with another ship, and all four of Spafford's daughters died.

His wife Anna survived and sent him the now famous telegram, "Saved alone." Shortly afterwards, as Spafford traveled to meet his grieving wife, he was inspired to write these words as his ship passed near where his daughters had died.

The Spaffords later had three more children, one of whom (a son) died in infancy. In 1881 the Spaffords, including baby Bertha and newborn Grace, set sail for Palestine.

Make me a love slave

Put my ear up to the door
Don't let me leave here anymore
Make me a love slave forever to my Lord

Change in diet :)

It's time for a change in diet...yeah!!!. It's called the tough diet to take

Please do not start thinking that I am going to start being a vegeterian/herbivore or something lidat.
Neither am I changing my diet to lose weight (GTAD)
Neither am I changing my diet to gain weight (GFAD!!!!!!)

It's a change of diet on feeding my mind and my soul what is good for it.

Time of eating of His flesh and drinking of His blood (John 6:53-56, KJV)
NO longer feeding my soul with all the carnal things of the world. (worse than GFAD).
And time of feeling my soul of things of above...

And this means...death. (not GFAD), but death of the flesh man.

It's tough...but there has to be this determination in me to do it. And I urge everyone to do that together as well.

*just for info. GFAD means: Grow fat and die*
therefore, GTAD is the opposite of GFAD

Another competition over...

Yesterday, I was at Tampines West open archery competition.

Well, in the ranking event, I broke my personal best record of 30m 80cm face. Rather happy with it. And not only that, I came in 1st in ranking. 1 more gold medal added into my collection...yeah!!!

Well, in the individual knock-out i kinda performed poorly. So nervous, can't even shoot properly. Almost lost at top 32 elimation round. Well, made it through but lost at the top 8 a.k.a quarter finals round. No strength to pull bow at that point liaos...

Well, humans are greedy, wanting more and more medals. God has already blessed me with a ranking gold medal liaos. So rather happy with it already.

Now, gotta concentrate on study. Perhaps wont be able to shoot for close to 2 weeks due to the loads of upcoming tests and exams. After that, will then continue to train myself.

Last friday I was over-exhausted, so I went home instead of going bible study (1st time i ever did that). My head was literially spinning when I walked out of school. So, I listen to the message that I missed when I went for kim's concert a few weeks ago. It was a timely message. The speaker, Andrew Gias, said this

"If we get wrongly devoted to any thing on this earth, we are getting involved with demonic activity/demonic worship. "

I realised that at times, I did place other things above God. Gotta kick those thngs that I'm wrongly devoted to and go back to God. Hobby and interest will only remain at a hobby and interest level. Must not go above that.

Mediate on these things

Finally, brethrens,
whatever things are true,
whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just,
whatever things are pure,
whatever things are of good report,
if there is any virture and if there is anything praise-worthy, mediate on these things.

The things which you learned and recieved and hear and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
~philippians 4:8-9~

The world outside is full of corrupt, darkness and evil.
As sons of God, we gotta hold fast to this verse.
This verse gotta be our daily testimony,
That we live this verse out

That our mouths will not be filled with guile
Our thoughts will not be thougths that are displeasing to Him
That our actions will be actions that shine forth His light
That our lives will be made as a daily sacrifice to him, holy and acceptable, without blemish.

May God help us

Another week passed...

The most important rule for us is to concentrate on keeping our lives open to God. Let everything else, including work, clothes and food be set aside. The busyness of life obscures our concentration on God. We must maintain a position beholding Him, keeping our lives spiritually through and through. Let other things come and go as they will; let other people critize us as they will, but never allow anything to obscure the life that is hidden in Christ in God

~owsald chambers~

Another week has passed
Once again, Thank God for bringing me through these days, that are filled with assigments, test.

This week, will have
Mammalian Cell technology test on monday
Applied Microbiology test on Medical Microbiology
And then, also molecular biology test to pass up =.=

Well, I guess this week will be another busy busy week again =.=

But then, like stated above, no matter how busy life is, God is to take the rightful place in our lives.
